By Shuttle Bus:
Daily buses left Hanoi for Tam Coc between 7:30 and 8:00 a.m. Due to the fact that it is a tour bus, it will be filled with international passengers and led by an English-speaking tour guide. In addition, if your hotel is located in Old Town, they offer door-to-door service.
The per-person cost ranges from 100,000 to 120,000 VND.
By Train:
We do not advocate taking the train because Vietnam’s railways are fairly poor and slow. Due to the inconvenient nature of commuting between railway stations and destinations, we strongly recommend using buses instead.
If you insist on taking the train, there are daily departures at 9:00 and 15:00 from Hanoi Train Station.
The ticket is approximately 80,000VND.

From April to October, the weather tends to be humid and hot (hottest at around 12 00 pm) with occasional rains. If you want cool weather with no rain, then choose an appropriate day in the period from November to March to travel to Tam Coc.
