Hanoi is a bustling metropolis with a lovely blend of ancient and new architecture. With beautiful structures originating from the French colonial era, the Old Quarter is a lovely spot to explore on foot. Small alleyways with old buildings and friendly people who smile in a real Vietnamese way give you a real feel for the capital.

8:00: With a private car, our guide will greet you at your Old Quarter hotel. Our first destination would be the Tran Quoc Pagoda, Vietnam's Buddhist centre. From our viewpoint on the West Lake, we'll take in the breathtaking yet peaceful views of the city. Now it's time to go on to the next stop, the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, where you may learn more about Communism. In the morning, the Temple of Literature, Vietnam's first university, should be the last stop.
12:00 Lunch will be served in a traditional restaurant that specialises in Hanoi food.
13:30: It's time to immerse yourself in Hanoi's history by visiting Hoa Lo Prison and the Hanoi History Museum. These places will provide you with a short summary of the Vietnam War. From Hoan Kiem Lake, return to the Old Town for a breath of fresh air.
18:30 Finally, but not least, see a water puppet show in the evening.
