Frequently Asked Questions

If your budget allows it, the answer is definitely yes. The beautiful views of the bay, along with the luxurious amenities on board, make for a truly one-of-a-kind and outstanding trip.

The key difference is not in the route (which is typically the same in all cruise classes), but in the services and amenities.

A luxury cruise has larger cabins that are furnished with modern and luxurious amenities. They all have a private balcony, making it easier than ever to enjoy the breathtaking view of Halong Bay.

Furthermore, these cruises provide an extensive range of extra services that are not available on others, such as a spa, mini-pool, mini-golf courses, and even small movie theater.

Another strong suit of a Luxury Halong Bay Cruise is its cuisine. They serve fresher and more diverse seafood, Vietnamese cuisine, and vegetarian options. Some ultra-luxurious cruises, such as the Scarlet Pearl and Stellar of the Sea, even have Michelin-starred restaurants on board.

It’s hard to name one as there’re so many good cruises.

So, we’ve named a few which is we (and our customer reviews) thought the best in their ranges:

Essence Grand Cruise (formerly known as La Siesta Superyacht) is the most luxurious cruise now in Halong Bay. The cruise is expected to be started operating on October 2023.

The cruise is designed with 5 floors and 1 cruise basement. It feature 55 luxurious cabins with capability up to 120 passengers and 70 cruise crew.

The prices are various, depend on how long you’d like to stay on board.

For 2 days 1 night trip, it will cost from 160USD to 220USD per person while 3 days 2 nights rate are doubled.

A package will included most of everything from meals on board, cabins, activities to entrance tickets. However, no cruises will included drinks in their rate.

There’re many.

For example, Rita Cruise do have a big mini-pool on board with tons of activities for kids.

Scarlet Pearl is also a good option for family. It offers connecting cabins for family with kids.

Nice bay with many small islands and beaches. Many locals are living in their houses on the water doing fishing for living. I recommend to buy a boat cruise for one day going around the islands.
